Statha Gilliam Osborne

I moved to Wagram in 4th Grade. Had Mrs. Wrae Smith.....left Wagram when we had to go to Shaw School, graduated from Scotland High School. Attended and graduated from Pfeiffer College in 1977. Came home and taught at Wagram School and Shaw School.....taught in Scotland County for 16 years, moved to Hamlet and taught 14 years..Retired for one year and then came back to Spring Hill in Wagram and have currently come out of retirement to continue teaching music. Ms. Beth Ammons (Roger Ammons) is my principal and I plan to retire when she does. I enjoy time with my grandchildren, my 85 year old mom, my family and time at Myrtle Beach. I love to read, crochet, and talk.....and I love facebook....get on there..it is like a daily family reunion.

What I loved most about Wagram High School is we had 12 grades under one roof. And the class sizes were so small. That is why most of us excelled on life. I remember being in the auditorium when they announced that John F. Kennedy had been shot. We were all in there together. I remember the recitals that we used to have and how wonderful it was to have a piano teacher on campus..where we could take private lessons. I loved the ballgames in the gym and I remember when my brother ran in the side of the bleachers and rammed into a pencil that went in his knee. I only wish we could go back to one classroom and all of us under one roof..those were the good old days...
