A Special Memory...

As I get older, I question the spelling of words that I've spelled correctly all my life. There is one word, however, that I will never misspell...thanks to Miss Maude Moore. One day in her history class, I wrote a paper using the word "sep-E-rate". I handed it to her, and she caught my error before I could even sit down. It was as if the word had jumped off the page at her. She handed it right back, and I knew that my next move was to consult the dictionary. Upon finding the correct spelling, I resubmitted my paper. To this day, I think of Miss Moore every time I write the word
"sep-A-rate". I hope she would be pleased. "Thank You, Miss Moore!"
